We are excited to welcome Dr. Anita Barikian to our dedicated team of doctors at Retina Care Specialists (RCA)! Dr. Barikian has extensive clinical experience and is fellowship trained in medical retina and ocular oncology with expertise in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, as well as the full spectrum of medical retina diseases. Her practice approach is to deliver patient-focused care using the most advanced treatment options and quality diagnostics procedures available.

Dr. Barikian earned her undergraduate degree in biology and completed her medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the American University of Beirut. She went on to complete an ocular oncology fellowship at the University of Tennessee and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, followed by three years of medical retina fellowship at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. An accomplished award-winning researcher, Dr. Barikian has published extensively in top ophthalmology journals, contributed a book chapter on glaucoma, and presented her work at major national medical conferences across the country.

Dr. Barikian is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, serves as a peer reviewer for top medical journals and publications and sits on scientific advisory boards for pharmaceutical companies developing retinal therapeutics. Outside of the practice, she enjoys traveling with her husband and discovering new restaurants.

Dr. Barikian will see patients at RCA’s Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach practices.
